It’s half-past something in the middle of the night, and I’m catching up on reading social media and blogs. In the midst of Twitter, Facebook and Google+, the reason I’m still blogging, and the reason I’m still reading blogs, is (generally speaking), they offer something more substantial than elsewhere in the personal online space. Admittedly, there’s often great writing on places like Medium and Google+, and there’s often great vision from Youtubers, but I like the fact people I follow on WordPress and Blogger seem to go through a process of more thoughtful writing. I read heaps of blogs, though I don’t often comment, unless I feel like I have something substantial to say. So hi Carol, Victor, Andrew, Neil and many others: a big shout out to you. All of that said, I really have nothing much to offer this time around, except for maybe a few interesting photographs I’ve snapped recently.

Frank Gehry building at Sydney's UTS
Though I’ve previously written a fair bit about the Frank Gehry designed building at Sydney’s UTS, this was the first time I’ve noticed the building from this angle. Spotted, as I walked towards the Ian Thorpe pool for a swim last weekend.

I enjoy visiting your blog James. Like Andrew you cover a wide range of issues – even if you keep coming to back to items about Sweden 😉 – and I think your photography is very interesting.
