September Socials

Conscious that I sometimes share material on other platforms that never makes “the cut” here on my blog, I will start sharing a few bits and pieces here also. These are the tweets, posts, and observations that still seem relevant at the end of each month. Lots of ephemera, but hopefully still quite entertaining.

September 3 : Sign of the times. My local person who normally hems my pants

September 4 : After almost six months from working at home, and standards are dropping. I’ve just done a video session, and realised half way through I wasn’t wearing any pants!! (I had underpants on, just not shorts.)

September 5 : It’s like having Target and K-Mart next door to each other. Free market competition.
September 15 : During the Sydney Olympics, it was such a lovely chilled out place. You could talk to strangers on public transport without them thinking you were odd. You could stop strangers in the street and ask them for directions, without them thinking you wanted something. Lovely times.
September 17 : I’m a member of City Tatts, the club at the centre of a recent COVID lockdown. Just received their newsletter, and they’re offering half price drinks for the rest of the month. I think it’s worth the risk!

September 24 : I got an email today from the Australian Electoral Commission. I worked on polling day in 2019. The email says they’re looking at staffing for the next election? Isn’t that 2022. Do they always start so early? Or do they know something we don’t?

September 25 : Hey, I love my job, but turning this thing on is possibly one of the best things about using Microsoft Outlook.
September 26 : There’s a job going at 2WEB where I got my first full time paid radio job. Will be there next weekend!! I had a wonderful time at 2WEB, learning HEAPS, and making some great friends. I’d highly recommend this job to anyone starting out in radio.https://radiotoday.com.au/job/all-rounder/
