Having woken early, and knowing the weather would be fine this weekend, I caught a train to Circular Quay ahead of sunrise. There weren’t too many people around. Just a handful of early morning walkers, and a couple of other people with an interest in photography.

When I arrived, one photographer (with a tripod) had already staked a place on the top level of the Overseas Passenger Terminal. As I left, another was on his way. It really is a terrific place to take in the view of the harbour anytime, but especially around sunrise (good travellers tip!).

Here’s a few of the photographs I took. Camera? My Nexus 5 mobile phone.
