Some family myths and legends exposed – or uncovered, thank you. I am the grandchild of Fred Holland (m. Margaret Winifred Richards… )and so a long connection to the colourful Rixons. One family story is that a young man of the family swapped babies in beds at a family gathering near Woolongong. The bleary and happy parents simply collected the child left where they thought and returned home – some to Appin, before they discovered the swap! Who was this? I’d love to know.
