Full MoonAt work today a colleague asked I’d participated in “Earth Hour” on the weekend, the hour in which Sydney-siders were encouraged to turn off their lights in a largely symbolic gesture towards what individuals can do to combat global warming. “Yes”, I said emphatically, but added “though I kept the TV on”. “So did I”, she admitted. And so did a friend who I caught up with tonight. So next year, I reckon the campaign probably needs to emphasise turning off the television as well as the lights. Oh yeah, and we had a glorious full moon, still evident tonight.
