Is it sepsis?

Currently in Darwin and I spotted this t-shirt.

Sepsis caused my amputation, and each year in Australia, 84000 people get it and 12000 die.

The bloke wearing the shirt told me each year in the NTFL they have a round in memory of a young player who got it and died.

Hopefully this helps create awareness.

If you think you’ve got Covid (like me) or the flu (like some amputees I’ve met), it’s a great reminder of asking a question about a condition which is often undiagnosed.

“each year in Australia, 84000 people get it and 12000 die”

Is that an extra zero on the “120,000”?

Unsure what you mean. 84,000 get it, 12,000 die

I think I must have left my reading glasses off because, even though I copied and pasted it, I read your “12000” as “120,000.” How embarrassing.

I know what you mean. I’m going to write a post some day about how I use my mobile phone to enlarge text when I go shopping.
