Surry Hills Santa

On the way to the supermarket this morning, I ran into Santa.

It’s worth noting, however, that in Surry Hills, Santa looks a little different. The Surry Hills Santa was young, good looking and wearing thongs.

And when I asked him for a photograph, he gave me a free pair of thongs. But not your stock-standard supermarket thongs I normally buy that cost about $5. These were uber-comfortable $30 Havianas! Grattis! It was obviously one of those promotional activities you often see at this time of the year, and the fact I’ve blogged about it seems to suggest it worked :) I asked, BTW, if it was okay to share this pic.

Bless him. It was 37 degrees in Sydney today.
