Elvis Presley, The Paragon & The Dish

Almost everywhere you go in Parkes, you’ll see an image of Elvis Presley. Even though Elvis never visited Parkes, for almost thirty years they’ve been holding a festival here. Held each year in January (to co-incide with his birthday), it’s become a big thing for the community.

On The Road Again

After the excitement of Saturday’s sight-seeing adventure, I took things a little more slowly on Sunday. Though I thought about getting up early and going for a walk, I stayed in bed until about 9.00am. As daylight saving has commenced, I didn’t feel too guilty about sleeping in. Oh, and hey, I’m on holiday!
