Christmas Party

There’s something fascinating about the architectural makeover of The Dolphin Hotel in Surry Hills, apparently.

I didn’t actually catch the finer detail of what they’ve done, but apparently it’s very interesting.

Or at least interesting to a colleague of mine with an eye for that kind of thing.

It’s funny what you get talking about at your work Christmas Party.

And interestingly enough, this year, we didn’t talk all that much about work itself. Sure, there were bits and pieces, but mostly we seemed to be chatting about other things. Or at least that was the case for me.

The Dolphin was a great choice, even if I do say so myself. The food was great. The indoors area was light, though a little noisy. And the smokers area was just a few feet away.

This year I’ve actually got two work-related Christmas Parties. Yesterday was a temporary farewell to the area I’ve been working for the last few years. In a couple of weeks, I’m going to a Christmas lunch with my new colleagues.

I chose the venue for this Christmas lunch also. The Coopers in Newtown also seems like good value for similar reasons to The Dolphin.

Here’s hoping it will be as enjoyable as todays.
